Chalk Talk/Setup Work: (15 min): DL setup, then practice with several sets of three light singles in succession
(One rep, bar down, set up again, one rep, bar down, set up again, one rep)
Strength–Max Effort/Heavy Single (25 min): Deadlift
Work to heavy single (50×5, 60×4, 70×3, 80×2, 90×1, then talk with coach about next rep)
*Goal is to make a heavy single look really crisp, not necessarily to PR. Shouldn’t be any failures.
